This Privacy Policy explains how the Kept app (the “App”) and the Kept web version handle your information. By using Kept you agree to this policy.
Nothing. Kept does not collect personal information. We have no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs that profile you. We do not ask you to create an account or sign in.
The notes, quotes, tags, and images you save are stored locally on your device (in the App’s on-device storage, and in your browser’s local storage for the web version). This content never leaves your device through Kept and is not uploaded to any server we operate.
Kept only reads your clipboard when you tap Paste. It does not read the clipboard in the background. On iOS, the system only allows clipboard access while the App is open and active.
If you choose to attach an image, Kept uses your camera or photo library only for that purpose. Images you add stay on your device. Kept does not upload them anywhere. You can decline these permissions and still use Kept for text.
When you tap Share, Kept hands a card image to your device’s standard share sheet. Where it goes from there (Messages, a social app, etc.) is your choice and is governed by that app’s own privacy policy, not Kept’s.
Kept is rated for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
